The winning numbers from the Powerball drawing on March 6, 2025 were 23, 6, 22, 33, 18, 5 and 21, along with the Powerball number 16. According to The Lott, the Queenslander purchased his winning PowerHit QuickPick entry from its official website.
Besides the life-changing Powerball jackpot, the incredibly lucky man hit division two a total of 19 times thanks to his PowerHit entry. This helped his win grow further to AU$10.3 million ($6.5 million).
The exceptional win comes after another lottery player scored a life-changing jackpot only recently. That’s the case for an Oz Lotto player who held the single division one winning entry from the game’s 1619 drawing. This enabled the Mackay, Queensland man to take home the entire AU$15 million ($9.4 million) jackpot.
Jackpot Brings Tears of Joy
An official from The Lott contacted the Powerball jackpot winner to notify him of the big win via phone. The man was incredibly emotional, which is understandable considering the size of the jackpot he had just won. “I feel like crying! Mate, I’ve got tears in my eyes. This is just life-changing,” the lucky man exclaimed.
The Queenslander admitted that normally, he would have already gone to bed. However, on Thursday night, he was just enjoying a football game when the call with the good news came. “I feel like I won’t sleep tonight. I think I’ll just be talking to the missus for the next couple of hours,” said the lucky winner.
The man admitted that he and his wife have been working hard throughout their lives. Now, he said that thanks to the win, he will be able to “sit back and enjoy life.” The Powerball jackpot winner added that he and his wife will now consider early retirement and won’t be working anymore. Finally, he said that he won’t spend the big fortune that came his way but would rather consider investing it.
